**************************************************** Members of the public will be able to watch the live broadcast of the 2001-2002 Budget Speech delivery by the Financial Secretary in the Legislative Council on the Internet and get copies of the Speech at various outlets tomorrow (March 7). By choosing "Live Broadcast" under the icon "2001-02 Budget" on the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Homepage at http://www.gov.hk/en/residents/, they will be able to view the delivery of the Budget Speech by the Financial Secretary, Mr Donald Tsang, at 2.30 pm tomorrow. Mr Tsang will hold a press conference around 5 pm after his delivery of the Budget Speech. He will also participate in a joint television panel discussion on the Budget at 8.30 pm. Both will be broadcast live on the Government Homepage.
Internet users can also read from the Government Homepage the full text of the Budget Speech, which will be uploaded in segments onto the Internet when Mr Tsang is delivering it in the Legislative Council, and other Budget related documents. Copies of the Budget Speech and a leaflet carrying Budget highlights will be available for collection by members of the public after 4.45 pm tomorrow. Interested persons can get a free copy of the Budget Speech while the stock lasts from the 18 District Offices of the Home Affairs Department, and a counter set up by the Marketing Office of the Information Services Department on the ground floor of Murray Building, Garden Road, Central. This year, a small amount of the glossy version of the Budget Speech in Chinese and English will be available for sale to the public at $180 each at the Government Publications Centre at Queensway Government Offices, Low Block, ground floor, 66 Queensway, Admiralty.
